The Arts Across Nebraska connects Lied artists to Nebraska communities throughout the state. The program provides up to three tours every year, which are offered to presenting partners and communities in the state at an affordable rate. The Lied Center is responsible for contracting with the artist(s), routing and providing technical assistance on tour. The artist(s) usually provide a public performance, and/or student matinee or workshop in each community.

Free Enhancement Workshops for Local Students
Thanks to a generous grant from Nebraska Arts Council and
the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, the Lied Center is able to offer free
in-school workshops to local students attending Arts Across Nebraska student
matinees in 2012-13. The sessions, delivered by the artists,
enhance the impact of the matinee performance. A total of 41 workshops
took place across the state as part of the Arts Across Nebraska program in 2011-12.
Over
1,500 students and teachers from seventeen schools participated in the workshops, and 2,713 attended the matinee performances
provided by the program. In total, 5,536 Nebraskans benefited from the
program in 2011-12.
The Lied Center would like to thank the following
sponsors of the 2012-13 Arts Across Nebraska program:
Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, National Endowment for
the Arts, Friends of Lied, Richard P. Kimmel and Laurine Kimmel Charitable
Foundation, and Sid Dillon.
