LSO collaborates with the Lied Center for Performing Arts for Benjamin Britten's powerfully dramatic War Requiem. The mammoth oratorio is scored for symphonic orchestra, chamber orchestra, organ, vocal soloists, boys choir, and full mixed voice choir. As a pacifist, Britten interwove the traditional Latin requiem mass text with Wilfred Owen poetry.
