Clarinet Duos with Wind Ensemble Concert, 7:00 pm

Featuring clarinet duos from Washington, D.C. premiere military bands, a bass clarinet double concerto and a double concerto for clarinet and bassoon, this concert is presented in collaboration with the Omaha Symphonic Winds. These diverse duo concerti will sure to astound the audience. Soloists include TSgt J. Blake Arrington, MUC Laura Grantier, Albie Micklich, Robert Spring, SFC Cheryl Ani, MU1 Cindy Wolverton, Jeffrey Anderle, Jonathan Russell, SSgt Christopher Grant and GySgt Michelle Urzynicok. This concert is FREE to the public.

Allan Vaché, Jazz Concert, 9:00 pm

Allan Vaché has performed with such jazz greats as Bobby Hackett, Wild Bill Davison, Pee Wee Erwin, Gene Krupa, Dick Hyman, Max Kaminsky, Clark Terry, Dick Wellstood, Ed Hubble, Cliff Leeman, Bob Haggart, Jack Lesberg, and many others. He has recorded nine albums and compact discs with the Jim Cullum Jazz Band of San Antonio, including the only jazz CD of the entire score of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. He has performed on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion and was a regular performer on PRI’s Riverwalk — Live from the Landing. Together with jazz pianist John Sheridan and rhythm and bass jazz artists Danny Coots and Paul Keller, Allan Vaché will entertain you with a wide variety of jazz favorites. This concert is FREE to the public.
