Arts in Context

A Resource to Support Arts Integration on Campus

The Lied Center is proud to offer a resource designed specifically for university community members to support connecting class and stage. This resource will highlight moments in our Lied Center season that are rich with educational opportunities, and offer opportunities to further exploration our artists. Instructors from all discipline areas will find content links between performances and curricula.

In addition to this resource, the Lied Center supports arts integration in curricula across campus through its Arts for All program. Over half of the Lied Center season performances are available to University of Nebraska students and their accompanying instructors for free.

The Lied Center offers University students and faculty the opportunity to connect their studies with the performing arts. The ongoing partnership with UNL School of Music, Dance Department and the Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film allows for students to attend master classes, workshops and symposia given by visiting artists.

Collaborations with student groups and campus departments surrounding Lied Center events bring the arts up-close and personal. Creating a spark through participation, conversation, debate and dialogue adds to the vibrant student life on campus.
