Nebraska Public Media’s “Friday LIVE” arts and entertainment radio show will feature a special performance by George Hinchliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain when it broadcasts at 9:59 a.m., Friday, March 18, live from the Lied Center stage.
The public is invited to this free event. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
The world-renowned ukulele superstars return to Lincoln with their toe-tapping music, hilarious banter, and sheer superlative entertainment. With fans ranging from the Queen of England to David Bowie and beyond, they are masters of the unexpected, known for re-imaging folk songs, twisting classical favorites and uncovering quirky versions of rock covers. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain will perform a full public concert at the Lied Center on the evening of March 18.
“Friday LIVE” host Genevieve Randall will also give audience members the latest news about music, arts, literature and events happening around the state. Singer/songwriter Daniel Christian will also perform.

As required by the artist, masks are required to be worn at all times while inside the Lied Center for this event.
